Modern Arab Architecture Forum (mAAF) is a network of architects, designers, urbanists, architectural researchers and scholars committed to study the modern architecture in the Arab world. The Forum is devoted to the study of architecture and cityscape in the Arab world in its historical, intellectual, social, cultural, and political contexts from the early twentieth nineteenth through the twenty first century. Through conferences, publications, exhibitions and other scholarly activities, mAAF aims to develop a regional and international forum for exchange of ideas, expertise, and research findings among interested scholars in the field. The inaugural conference of the mAAF will be held in March 2011.
The Modern Arab Architecture Forum was launched early 2010 by The Center for the Study of Architecture in the Arab Region (CSAAR) in partnership with practitioners, researchers, academicians and leading private and not-for-profit organizations interested in modern architecture in the Arab region.
